If you do not provide us with your Tax File Number (TFN), TFN exemption or Australian Business Number (ABN), or if you have an overseas residential address, we are required by law to deduct tax from any interest that you earn on your account. This tax is paid to the Australian Taxation Office and is called 'Withholding Tax'.

For more information about Withholding Tax, please visit the Australian Taxation Office website.

You can manage your Tax File Number for all of your eligible accounts in NetBank. Simply log on to NetBank, go to the More tab, select Manage my accounts, then Update my Tax File Number.
