Who can apply for a Term Deposit online?

To be eligible to apply: 

  - All applicants must be Australian residents with an Australian address.
  - All applicants must be 18 years of age or over.
  - The application must be in personal names (no Company or Trading accounts).
  - Funds in the account must not be held in Trust for another person.
  - The investment can be between $5,000 to $95,000 via Internet applications or $5000 to $1,999,999.99 via NetBank (inclusive).
  - The application can be for a single or joint account holder (up to a maximum of two account holders).
  - For joint accounts, either account holder can operate on the account.
  - You must have access to a BPAY® facility (via telephone or Internet banking) to deposit funds into your Term Deposit.  (Instructions on how to send your funds using BPAY® will be provided online when you apply).
  - To make withdrawals at maturity from your Term Deposit, you will need to nominate an existing personal bank account to which the withdrawn funds will be electronically transferred.  You will be prompted to do this when opening your Term Deposit Account.
  - You will be requested to provide your Tax File Number (TFN) or TFN Exemption during application. You are not required to quote your TFN, however, if you do not, the Bank is required by law to deduct tax from any interest earned on the account above a certain threshold.
